Wintergreen Home for Sale – 18 Coopers Vantage

There were lots of activity at Wintergreen this weekend with both WPOA and WPI annual meetings, and of course, there were great activities for the kids as part of the weekend’s Spooktacular activities program. Meetings and fun for the kids weren’t the only notable events though. This home located at 18 Coopers Vantage was reduced in price to $695,000. Originally listed for sale in 2007 for $899,000, it is a good example of why this is an extraordinary time to be a buyer. There is magic in the original design and construction this home with magnificent stone fireplace, vaulted wood ceilings, gorgeous interior wood trim, and endless glass that makes the view inescapable. But the real magic is in the memories you and your family will create at Wintergreen – memories that will last a liftime.

Wintergreen Halloween Spooktacular

For all those who love snow and love to ski Wintergreen, this “snowman” pumpkin carving is for you! When you visit Wintergreen this weekend, be sure to get the kids hooked up with the Halloween Spooktacular events. This will be a busy Wintergreen property owner weekend and many of the events are designed to keep the kids entertained while you’re busy attending meetings. Events include campfire and storytelling on Friday evening; caramel apple making, costume party, and scenic Blue Ridge Mountain chairlift rides on Saturday. All events are rain or shine – some require reservations – contact Wintergreen Activities at 434-325-8180 to make one.

If you have extra time this weekend to look at real estate, follow the signs to my Wintergreen homes and condo open houses or contact us if you have an interest in seeing a specific home for sale.

Spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain View

This was the view today from the Wintergreen Founders Vision Overlook. The air today in the Blue Ridge Mountains was incredibly clear offering some of the most stunning views I’ve seen in months. The mountain ridges around Wintergreen and beyond looked as though you could reach out and touch them. Homes are starting to emerge through thinning foliage here in Wintergreen Va, but there will be several more weeks of good fall color to enjoy. Call me if you’d like to take a look at some equally spectacular real estate while you’re here!

The Seasons at Wintergreen

It’s been nearly 20 years since a new Wintergreen condo or townhome project was under construction at Wintergreen Resort. Enter The Seasons – a new luxury townhome project on the corner of Wintergreen Drive and Blue Ridge Drive that expands our real estate options to include a modern structure centrally located adjacent to the Wintergarden Spa and across the street from the Highlands ski lift. Designed with the discerning consumer in mind, these new Wintergreen properties feature high-end finishes throughout and each unit features the added convenience of its own private elevator serving four floors, 3,670 square feet, and 4/5 bedrooms. All units feature two master suites and nearly all will have excellent mountain views. Buy one of the existing units or have one built and customized to your specifications.

Winter Blows into Wintergreen

An early snowfall blasted Wintergreen homes and condos last night making for a winter wonderland this morning. Wintergreen skiers take note! Wintergreen ski passes on sale on the Wintergreen Resort website. This early taste of winter will soon fade leaving lots of fall color behind, but I’m hoping for more of the white stuff in November. Come on up and see us – it’s an incredible time to cherry pick the Wintergreen real estate market. You will want to have your own place for the winter fun!

Wintergreen Skiing Nominated for Best of 2009

The great thing about providing Wintergreen real estate sales and service is that it’s a lot more than just about selling real estate at Wintergreen – it’s about having fun! This year Wintergreen skiing is a finalist in the “Best of 2009” contest sponsored by The Express (Washington’s free daily newspaper). Wintergreen has been nominated as having the Best Ski Venue in the Washington metro area. If you agree, you can vote – make Wintergreen your Best of 2009. Voting ends October 16.

Another Special Wintergreen Home Sold

I closed on the sale of another special Wintergreen Home on Thursday. The new owners are from Richmond and couldn’t be more excited. This home at 67 Indian Point Trail on Wintergreen mountain backs up to the George Washington National Forest  (a few million acres of National Forest for a backyard is pretty cool) and is just steps away from the Old Appalachian Trail. You can’t see it now, but when the leaves are down, this home will have spectacular 180 degree mountain and Shenandoah Valley views for six months of the year!

Wintergreen Dining – Devils Backbone

Do you like to eat? Enjoy fine food, great local brews, and good music at Wintergreen’s Devils Backbone restaurant and brewery. With authentic alpine ambience, you’ll love how you feel while you’re there. In the background – the small white building with green roof – is a small coffee house and eatery with light fare. The building (relocated here) is the original Nelson County train depot structure. Stop in for a little taste of history!
