Summer Music Festival: Week three features Beethoven. Guest pianist, Norman Krieger will give a recital on Thursday with three of Beethoven’s most popular sonatas. On Saturday and Sunday, Mr. Krieger will perform Beethoven’s 3rd piano concerto. Completing the all Beethoven program will be the Prometheus Overture and his 3rd Symphony, the Eroica. The Chamber concert on Friday evening will feature music by Erich Zeisl and Arnold Schönberg. And don’t forget the Run (or Walk) Vienna on Sunday morning. Refresh yourself following the run at the Coffee Concert with a Mozart divertimento and a piano trio by Zeisl.

Nelson County’s Hamner Theater comes up the mountain for the world premiere of a new work by Peter Coy, Imaginary Letters: Mozart Remembered. Performances on July 15-17.  Plus, Chamber Music on Friday night featuring the James Piano Quartet, and an all Mozart Classics II Concert Saturday at 6 and Sunday at 3. 

Of course there’s much more – coffee concert on Sunday morning, seminars, music in unusual places, cooking classes, Austrian wine and beer tasting – nearly 300 offerings this July. Check it ALL out at

The Treehouse
The Treehouse – for kids ages 2½ -12 who are interested in a day-long program filled with games, hikes, swimming, crafts and playtime.  The kids will be having so much fun, they won’t even realize you’re not there!

Discovery Ridge Adventure Center
Possibly the most fun on the Mountain.  Fly, ride and slide is the theme for the summer.  Fly down The Zip, or take a ride on a Segway or slide down The Plunge where we now offer summer tubing!  Plus, there’s more at Discovery Ridge … bungee trampoline, indoor games, climbing wall, miniature golf, and paintball.

Camps.
Junior Golf and Tennis Camp – Monday through Thursday throughout the summer, your kids can work on their tennis game and golf game as well as have swim time and meet new friends.

4th of July Jubilee at Wintergreen

It’s a jam-packed July 4th weekend with adventures and activities for everyone. The highlight, of course, is fireworks on Sunday night, but, before that join us for special block parties, live music, chairlift rides and movies under the stars. The kids will love spending time time at the pool, Lake Monocan, and Discovery Ridge where they will find The Zip, The Plunge (yes, we have summer tubing!) and Segway Tours.  While the kids are off having fun, you’ll want to join your Wintergreen real estate agent for a tour of Wintergreen homes and condos.  There will be plenty of open houses to enjoy, but if you want a real estate tour taylored just to your interests, get in touch with us now so we can schedule something in advance.

Callaway Demo Day July 3 & 4 at Devils Knob
After you finish checking out Wintergreen homes for sale with your favorite real estate agent, stop by the Devils Knob golf pro shop over the holiday weekend and test out Callaway clubs.  Callaway will custom-fit the clubs to you using TrackMan technology. This is an easy to use radar-based golf swing and ball flight monitor. It will measure the ball launch and 3D movement of the club similar to the way Dopplar Radar tracks weather. Then using our flight model equipment, it calculates the precise length, dispersion and trajectory of any shot.  Pretty cool!
